Home Team Sports is a prototypical airport sports bar, but it goes beyond many I've been to. It is located outside of security, which was perfect for my visit, as I had arrived at the airport over 4 hours prior to our flight (off of a cruise, no place else to go).
To take a step back, the area outside of security at the Orlando airport resembles a mall, with lots of shops (from Disney to Brookstone to Lids) to kill time. I prefer sports, food, and beer, so I stopped by HTS.
It was seat yourself, there's a tighter area in front of the bar (tables for two, or around the corner maybe four). Away from the bar (but also away from the TVs) there were bigger tables perhaps if you weren't as interested in watching sports but just the restaurant service.
They had a decent selection of draft beers (which attract me), but not as much local/craft as I would have liked. Sam Adams it is. The menu had a number of things I would have eaten, burgers, sandwiches, the like, but I went for the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich, which was good. Instead of fries, I did a side salad substitute (sometimes trying to be healthy) and was happy with that choice. The vinaigrette dressing was good and they didn't put too much on which can happen. I ate the whole bowl which isn't my usual. The bacon and avocado spread (not actual avocados, which was clearly stated on the menu) were excellent. The turkey was pretty simple slices as if from a grocery store packet. Didn't taste bad, but if I were head chef, I might upgrade.
The service was medium, it took a little bit for her to get my order going (even though not busy), then after that things went quickly, including the ever important refills of beer upon empty. Payment was very swift. She did ask if I had a flight time for her to work towards, which is comforting had things been tighter. I see other reviews with poor service, that wasn't my experience but that's not uncommon for an airport place which I think has high turnover. Just prepare for variability there.
Overall if I were in Orlando, I would probably stop here and try something else from the menu for another data point. Not much at all to complain about. -

I agree with everybody else's reviews, skip this place. Our flight was delayed so we sat down for some drinks and ordered an app. We were going to order a full meal also but good thing our waitress took just our appetizer order first. The nachos were horrible - the chicken on top wasn't event chicken, it was microwaved mystery meat. We are the nachos and asked for the bill. Not good at all. I gave it a 2 star because our waitress was a sweetheart.

This was just a quick stop for me for breakfast before i left for the road. The breakfast is served until 10am and i got here at around 9am. Honestly, I did not enjoy my breakfast. The eggs seemed powdered and it was just overall bland. I saw someone else eating waffles and they looked good, but I can't eat gluten so I couldn't order those.. Anyways, they have juices and kids can eat here. They have Nutella waffles and fruit waffles so if your kids don't just want eggs and can have gluten they could absolutely eat breakfast here.
The service was good. You can pick where you sit and the waitress came over straight away and took our drink order. Then we ordered our food and the wait for the food was normal/pretty quick. I guess if you're looking to just sit down and eat a quick breakfast this is a good stop, but it's pretty bland so don't come looking for anything exciting. -

Typical airport bar.
Wings: Temp hot, small but tasted good.
Cheeseburger: Cold...cheese not even melted, bun cold, basically a wreck.
Tater tots: worst we have ever had, i think they were frozen then nuked. tasted like crap.
Beer cold.
Overall, the bartender was pleasent, but this place pretty much sucks. we recommend going to Chili's 2 basivally next to this place on level 4. -

The food left a lot to be desired. I had the Ancho Chicken Tacos and they were as bland as a piece of cardboard. No spice or flavor at all. The highlight was definitely the service though. The place was buzzing with people coming in and out but my waitress kept everything straight and was very attentive. I was extremely impressed with how smooth everything seemed to go in that chaotic environment.
